May 2020

May has marked a return to the water for myself and many other triathletes. unfortunately this is only in open water but hopefully pool swimming won't be too far away. Thankfully, the great weather we've had recently means that the water is a very pleasant 20 degrees.
The first few times back in the water felt a bit weird but I soon got back into the swing of things. I'm now swimming in the lakes 4 times a week, which is the most open water swimming I've ever done so hopefully I'll feel the strength gains in my arms over the coming months.
With regards to my cycling and running training, I'm still ticking over, with no definite dates to work towards. At the moment, I still have the Dambuster Triathlon in September and the Clumber Park duathlon in October but, as with everything at the moment, nothing is set in stone.
Hopefully it won't be long until things start to return to normal.
