June has seen me continue to maintain my cycling and running fitness whilst seeing quite significant improvements in my open water swimming times as a result of the many hours I have been spending swimming in my wetsuit over the last couple of months.
I am also excited about the fact that I have been able to enter into a 10 mile cycling TT event next month, which will be my first competitive event this calendar year. Hopefully July will also see me making a return to the pool as, even though open water swimming is improving my base swimming fitness, it is hard to replicate the sort of speed sessions you can do in a pool in open water. I am also eagerly anticipating the return of group running sessions as it is so much easier to push yourself to the limit when you have got others around you.
