April's focus was just to maintain the fitness I had before lockdown. in terms of swimming, this meant a lot of resistance band and core work in the living room.
My running is feeling as good as it's ever been. Normally, at this time of year I would be getting in some quality sessions on the track with my running group but, unfortunately that's not possible at the moment. For the time being, I'm just having to make do with solo sessions whilst being timed by my Dad on his bike.
With all the nice weather, I'm really enjoying my cycling and have even swapped one of my turbo sessions for an outdoors hill session every week, which makes a nice change to my training programme.
All in all, my training is going well but, unfortunately I have just been notified of the cancellation of this year's age-group world championships in Edmonton so I'll just have to work towards 2021 instead.
